The folks at Poop Bags have created a line of dog waste bags made from Mater-Bi, a family of biopolymers (loose translation: a plastic like substance that is made out of living renewable resources like corn, instead of harsh chemicals that pollute our environment). And why should you care? Because Mater-Bi makes these bags 100% biodegradable AND compostable! Most dog poop bags claim to be 100% biodegradable but really aren't. These dog waste bags are one of the few poop pick-up bags on the market that meet the ASTM D6400 standard, the highest level of biodegradability (meaning they actually totally biodegrade and not just break down into thousands of plastic pieces).
